Editorial was unfair to president

To the editor:

And we get yet another partisan hate President Donald Trump attack piece from the Washington Post editorial board.

In this one, we are treated to the strawman argument that Trump is silencing the voice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In fact Robert Redfield, director of the CDC, is on Trump’s pandemic task force. And if there are any real journalists left at the Washington Post they can go to CDC.gov and get all of the latest information and recommendations from the CDC to compare with task force recommendations.

“This initial problem was compounded by Trump’s negligence. He refused to acknowledge the seriousness of the pandemic while his administration dropped the ball on logistics, leading to shortages in testing and personal protection equipment.”

What a crock.

Former president and vice president Barack Obama and Joe Biden and depleted our reserve of personal protective equipment and ventilators and never replaced them. Biden called the China travel ban “xenophobic” and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi went to China Town to prove the pandemic was not a problem. Sleepy Joe took a month to admit he was wrong. And how many lives would that have cost had he been in charge?

The CDC testing didn’t work and Trump had to cut red tape to let companies develop and start testing after weeks had been lost. The Chinese Communists, the World Health Organization and the CDC all said the virus was not a problem and we didn’t need to wear masks but they blame Trump for not acknowledging the seriousness of the virus.

Thanks to Trump, we are doing more testing than any other country, are mass producing PPE in the U.S. and have a surplus of ventilators.

Meanwhile, Biden is hiding in his basement putting out such famous quotes as "Um, and uh, and I'm not, and I, I have a, I have a uh, like all of you but every day I get between an hour & an hour & a half brief with um, uh, the former head of, our former surgeon general, anyway, with docs across the country.”

That really inspires confidence doesn’t it?
