Career-best swims from 19 swimmers helped the Jay County middle school swim team split a meet with the Bluffton Tigers on Thursday.
The Jay County girls won, and the boys fell to the Tigers. Complete scores were not available.
Morgan DeHoff, Hannah Laux and Nick Lyons each had a pair of victories. DeHoff was first in the 100-yard individual medley and 100 freestyle. Laux beat the field in both the 50 freestyle and 50 butterfly while Lyons got victories in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
Aubrey Millspaugh (400 freestyle), Kenzie Huey (100 backstroke), Cohen Henry (100 breaststroke) and Maddy Snow (diving) all won their respective events as well.
Swimmers posting personal best times were Zion Beiswanger, Sophia Hoevel, Mikalah Shauver, David Keen, Jacob Monroe, Lauren Fisher, Isaac Miler, Aldon McCrosson, Kenzie Clayton, Joseph Dow, Timo Minnich, Peyton Yowell, Luke Moser, Avery Wentz, Matthew Fisher, Millspaugh, Laux, Lyons and DeHoff.
Jay County returns to the pool at 5:30 p.m. Monday as it hosts Bellmont at Jay County High School.
