Treatment leads to hope, recovery
Letter to the editor
To the editor:
In like a lion, out like a lamb. Or is it in like a lamb, out like a lion?
I guess it really just matters where you’re from or your perspective on life.
The weather devastation in the beginning of March for Nashville, Tennessee, would lead us to believe that the end of March will go out like a lamb for the people in Nashville. And we hope and pray that they have time to recover and mend their lives.
For Jay County Drug Prevention Coalition, it is always March and they are going in like a lion. They are marching against drugs, alcohol and tobacco addictions.
Substance abuse is impacting our lives as much as a tornado could — it can be totally devastating for a family. It can destroy a home, maybe not the physical home but it can destroy the home life.
Addiction is a disease and knowing that is a disease means there is a treatment. Treatment leads to hope and hope leads to recovery. And we hope and pray that they have time to recover and mend their lives.
Sincerely, let’s roar all year long against substance abuse.
