Felony arrests

Probation violation

Two Portland residents are being held in Jay County Jail after they were arrested Tuesday for violating their probations.

William J. Gallo Jr., 31, 305 W. Race. St., has a previous Class B felony charge for dealing in methamphetamine. Gallo is being held without bond.

Harley H. Golder, 25, 101 S. Pierce St., has a previous Level 6 felony charge for unlawful possession of a syringe. Golder has a $1,000 bond.



Common nuisance

A Portland man’s bond was set at $10,500 after he was arrested and charged with two Level 6 felonies Tuesday.

Anthony D. Best, 30, 203 W. 2nd St., was charged with contempt of court and maintaining a common nuisance. Best is being held in Jay County Jail.



Failed to appear

A Portland woman is being held in Jay County Jail with no set bond for failing to appear in court. Julie A. Henry, 42, 124 W. Arch St. Apt. 2, was arrested early this morning. She has a former Level 6 charge for possession of methamphetamine.
