Felony arrests
Drug possession
Three people were arrested recently for drug possession.
Benjamin L. Wilks, 44, 216 N. 15th St., Richmond, was arrested Sunday and preliminarily charged with two Level 6 felonies for possession of cocaine, methamphetamine or narcotic drugs and obstructing justice, and a Class A misdemeanor for resisting an officer. He was released on $4,500 bond from Jay County Jail.
Jamond O. Vicks, 34, 140 Heath St., Camilla, Georgia, was arrested Monday and preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony for possession of a controlled substance and a Class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana. Vicks is being held in Jay County Jail on a $8,000 bond.
Kurt E. Banter, 39, 11261 W. 900 North, Montpelier, was arrested Monday and preliminarily charged with two Level 6 felonies for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of cocaine, methamphetamine or a narcotic drug and a Class A misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia. Banter is being held on a $10,000 bond in Jay County Jail.
Resisting officers
A Bryant woman was arrested Friday for resisting an officer.
Amanda L. Oliver, 41, 105 N. Malin St., was preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony for resisting an officer with a vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor for resisting an officer on foot and a Class C misdemeanor for driving with a suspended license. She was released on $4,500 bond from Jay County Jail.
