Mistrust did not come from Facebook
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
An editorial cartoon in The Commercial Review recently said, “Why am I so skeptical, mistrustful and suspicious?” about COVID-19 vaccines. It answered with “Because a complete stranger on Facebook told me I should be.”
In fact it was President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris last summer.
Biden warned against trying to rush out an unfinished vaccine ahead of the Nov. 3 election.
“Let me be clear: I trust vaccines, I trust scientists, but I don’t trust Donald Trump,” Biden said. “At this moment, the American people can’t either.”
Harris said, “But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I’m not taking it.”
