Shuffleboard tourney open

At Swiss Village, it’s tournament time.

Swiss Village’s Arthur & Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion is preparing to host its annual shuffleboard tournament for those 55 and older.

Registration for the free tournament, which will be held at 9 a.m. Aug. 27, opened Monday at the pavilion. The deadline is Aug. 24.

Entries open

The Jay County Campus of Arts Place is accepting entries for a regional juried exhibition.

The exhibit is open to artists 18 and older who live in Indiana or an adjacent state. The work must be original and have been made within the last two years. All media are eligible.

Artist Maria Whiteman, a visiting fellow as the artist in social practice at the Environmental Resilience Institute at Indiana University, will jury the show. Her art focuses on interconnectedness.

There will be a total of $3,000 in prizes.
