A Pennville man died Tuesday morning after a traffic accident in Blackford County.
Neil A. Kegerreis, 67, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on Blackford County Road 300 South near Indiana 167.
According to Blackford County coroner Zach Crouch, its appears the vehicle Kegerreis was in was traveling west on Blackford County road 300 South — it becomes county road 200 South in Jay County — when it rolled several times, causing him to be ejected.
Local authorities responded to a call about the accident about 10 a.m. Tuesday. Kegerreis suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another vehicle may have struck Kegerreis’ vehicle, Crouch said.
Blackford County Sheriff’s Department said this morning that Indiana State Police are handling the investigation. Indiana State Police had not responded to a request for additional information at press time.
There was an autopsy scheduled for today at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
