Arts Place auction is Nov. 19

Get ready to start bidding.

The Jay County Campus of Arts Place will hold its annual Holiday Benefit Auction at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 19.

It will coincide with the opening day of the Alcove Artists and Friends Holiday Show.

After being forced to implement different formats last year because of the coronavirus pandemic, the event will be back to its traditional live, in-person event with a silent auction as well as a traditional auction led by Loy Real Estate and Auction.

Registration for bidding numbers will begin at 5:30 p.m. along with most auction festivities, which include a cork pull as well as food and drink.

Donations for the auction in Goodrich Hall on the Jay County campus, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland, will be accepted until Nov. 12.

Lunch scheduled

Portland Fire Department will host a chili lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 14.

The lunch is free, but free-will donations will be accepted.
