Felony arrests
Domestic battery
A Berne man was arrested Tuesday for domestic battery.
Derek D. May, 31, 880 Chalet Drive, has an original Level 5 felony charge for domestic battery resulting in bodily injury to a pregnant woman.
He’s being held without bond in Jay County Jail.
Resisting officers
A Portland man was arrested Tuesday for resisting law enforcement.
Steven M. Rines, 30, 4300 E. 700 South, was preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony, and a Class B misdemeanor for leaving the scene of an accident.
Rines was released from Jay County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
