Spooky show is Saturday

A local theatrical group has a spooky show planned for the weekend.

Tom Cherry’s Old Time Radio Show will host its Halloween celebration at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Farmland Community Center. The group will be showing an episode from the classic radio show Dimension X, and Mister Halloween will also share a tale. Audience members are encouraged to participate in the costume contest for a prize.

Long Haul Paul

Paul Marhoefer, also known as Long Haul Paul, will hold an album release celebration at 8 p.m. today at Key Palace Theatre in Redkey.

Marhoefer was nominated for a Jesse H. Neil Award this year for his podcast, “Over the Road,”?an eight-part series that seeks to give a voice to the trials and triumphs of America’s long-haul truckers.

At the event this evening, Marhoefer will perform several of the stories as well as songs that were inspired by “Over the Road.”
