Thank you for benefit support

To the editor:

We would like to say a huge thank you to all who had a part in making the Shimp Cancer Benefit at Paradise Pointe Campground on Sept. 5 a great big success.

From all the businesses and campers who donated items for the silent auction to all the people who helped with the carnival games and the brave people who took a turn in the cold dunk tank, we thank you.

Thank you also to the people who served lunch, participated in the cornhole and horseshoe tournaments and, lastly, to all the people who came out to the benefit to support this special family.

It was a beautiful, sunny day and it was great seeing so many families enjoying all the activities.

We couldn’t have done this without everyone’s support. It is great to see how Paradise Pointe campers and the community come together to support one another in this time of need.

Please keep the Shimp family in your thoughts and prayers as they continue through this journey.
