To the editor:
In June 2021, following the tornado that struck Fort Recovery and the surrounding community, Father Ned Brown of the Fort Recovery Catholic Cluster discussed ways to help those affected by the recent storm.
Money was collected by members of the Fort Recovery Catholic Cluster and members of the Fort Recovery community. A total of $97,000 was eventually collected in this effort.
The funds were deposited with the Fort Recovery Community Foundation and eventually used to help community members without consideration of their faith or church affiliation.
The Fort Recovery Community Foundation would like to graciously thank donors to the Fort Recovery Catholic Community Tornado Relief Fund for this wonderful support of their neighbors.
