USDA?program is open

Agricultural producers and private landowners may now sign up for the Grassland Conservation Reserve Program offered by the United States Department of Agriculture.

The program allows “producers and landowners to continue grazing and haying practices while conserving grasslands and promoting plant and animal biodiversity as well as healthier soil,”?according to a press release from the USDA. More than 3.1 million acres were accepted through the program in 2022. In total, 6.3 million acres are currently participating in the program.

Brick Street Market

Fort Recovery’s chapter of Psi Iota Xi will be hosting its annual Brick Street Market next weekend.

The annual craft and food fair is slated for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in downtown Fort Recovery, along the brick portion of Wayne Street. More than 25 booths and food trucks will be set up along the street, along with local businesses.
