McFarlands celebrate 50 years
The McFarlands are celebrating 50 years of marriage today.
Michael McFarland and Priscilla Welch wed June 17, 1973, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Portland.
Priscilla retired from her job as a suspension supervisor for Jay Schools. Michael retired from Fleetwood RV in Decatur and worked part-time at The Graphic Printing Company in Portland and part-time for Fort Recovery Industries.
Michael and Priscilla have two children, John McFarland and Jennifer McGraw, both of Portland, and a granddaughter, Alison McGraw.
They plan to celebrate by visiting Luxembourg, Germany, France and Belgium, following in the footsteps of Michael’s father, who fought in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II.
