Go Ivy Day is nearly here.

Ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne is inviting high school students to its Go Ivy Day from 9 a.m. to noon April 14 at its student life center.

Visitors may learn about campus life and other opportunities at the college, such as exploring degree and certificate programs, meeting faculty, touring the campus, learning about scholarships and other activities. The event at 3701 Dean Drive in Fort Wayne will include a free lunch for those who pre-register.

Home Tour

Taylor University Chorale and Sounds will present their Home Tour concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Rediger Auditorium.

The choirs will share songs and stories from their recent spring break tour to Cuenca and Quito, Ecuador, where they sang in churches, schools, hospitals, city squares and up in the Andes Mountains. The concert features music in a variety of languages, including Spanish, English, Latin and Hebrew. Admission is free.



Craft fair

Fort Recovery’s annual craft fair returns next month.

Brick Street Market, an event hosted by the Fort Recovery chapter of Psi Iota Xi, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 29 in the village along Wayne Street.

ArtWorks

Blackford County Arts Center has a list of art classes going on in April.

Classes scheduled include:

•Needle felting in the shape of mushrooms and toadstools, led by Carol Tropf, from 6 to 9 p.m. April 10. Tickets are $35.

•Making a decorative bowl, led by J.B. Goodrich, from 2 to 4 p.m. April 16. The cost is $20.

•Making pinch pots, led by J.B. Goodrich, from 2 to 4 p.m. April 30. Tickets are $20.

•Practicing advanced phone-friendly photography, led by Nick Martin, from April 11 to April 25 and May 2. The cost is $40.



WOW scholars

There’s still time for high school seniors to apply for Win on the Wabash Super Raffle scholarships.

The organization will award 22 seniors with $500 scholarships, according to a press release. Two seniors from each of the following high schools will be selected: Fort Recovery, Coldwater, St. Henry, Marion Local, Versailles, Fort Loramie, Parkway, New Bremen, Minster, New Knoxville and Jay County.

Applications are available online by visiting wowraffle.com/scholarships/. The deadline to apply is March 31, with scholarship winners notified by April 30.
