Felony arrests
Drug possession
Two Indiana residents were arrested Thursday for drug possession.
Jason W. Davison, 45, 109 N. Middle St., Portland, was preliminarily charged with two Level 6 felonies for possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance, along with a Class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana and a Class C misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia. He’s being held on a $4,500 bond in Jay County Jail.
Cassie C. Miller, 24, 215 S. Jefferson St., Hartford City, was preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony for possession of methamphetamine, a Class B misdemeanor for maintaining a common nuisance and a Class C misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia. She’s being held on a $4,500 bond in Jay County Jail.
Probation violation
Two local residents were arrested Thursday for violating their probation.
Clint A. Evans, 37, 5322 W. 950 South, Geneva, pleaded guilty in October 2022 to possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony. He was sentenced in Jay Superior Court to one year in Jay County Jail with all but 180 days suspended and given 100 days credit for time served. Evans is being held on a $700 bond in Jay County Jail.
Stacey J. Penrod, 36, 248 E. Main St., Redkey, pleaded guilty in November 2021 to unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony. She was sentenced in Jay Circuit Court to 2.5 years in Jay County Jail with all of her sentence suspended and placed on probation. She’s being held in Jay County Jail on a $500 bond.
