The circus is coming to Redkey.

Culpepper and Merriweather Circus will perform two shows Friday at the tractor pull grounds just south of Redkey on Indiana 1.

The circus — it's sponsored by Redkey Fun for Kidz — has been in the business for 37 years. This year’s performance features big cats, trapeze artists, bareback horse riders, clowns and other circus entertainment. The midway will open about 4 p.m. Friday and feature pony rides, a giant slide, face painting, concessions and a moon bounce. Shows will begin at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $16 and child and senior tickets are $9.
