Optimist International North District Oratorical Contest

Londyn Cavanaugh, sponsored by the Portland Evening Optimist Club and pictured above at left, placed third in the Optimist International North District Oratorical Contest on April 20 at the Creative Financial Center in Kokomo. She received a $1,000 scholarship. Anna Fisher, sponsored by the Portland Breakfast Optimist Club and pictured above at right, was a runner up and received a $200 cash award. (Photo provided)
