Holly Barnett

Holly “Karen” Barnett, age 82, a resident of Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at Persimmon Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in Portland.

Karen was born April 20, 1943, in New York, the daughter of Holland Upchurch and Marcella (Southworth) Limbert. Karen graduated from Ridgeville High School in 1961. 

Karen was a beautician for 64 years, retiring in 2023. 

She married Leon Barnett on June 2, 1962, he passed away on July 23, 2016.

Survivors Include:

Two sons — Gary Barnett, Ridgeville, Indiana, and Bryan Barnett, Portland, Indiana

Sister — Sharon Atkinson, Winchester, Indiana

Three grandchildren — Derek Barnett, Darian Ryan and Bailey Barnett

Private services will be held at a later date. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.
