The Jay County Campus of Arts Place is hosting the following free movies this week:

Intersection crash

A Dunkirk man complained of chest pain and his passengers also sustained injuries after crashing into the back of a truck at the intersection of Indiana 67 and county road 700 South about 3:45 p.m. Friday.

Rickey Moore, 72, was driving his 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan north on the highway. At the same time, Caleb Thurston, 17, Albany, was driving a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado on the highway and stopped at its intersection with county road 700 South in order to turn west onto the road. Moore told emergency responders his vision got blurry and he wasn’t able to see Thurston had stopped in the road, causing him to crash into the back of Moore’s vehicle.

Arianna Conley, 14, Redkey, sustained a chest injury, Zeke Conley, 2, sustained a chest injury, and April Thurston, 44, complained of back pain. Multiple patients were transported to IU Health Ball Hospital in Muncie, according to a Jay County Sheriff’s Office report.

Damage is estimated between $25,000 and $50,000.
