Heritage Village open for tours
Swiss Heritage Village is open for the summer touring season.
The village — it’s home to 12 historical buildings telling the story of early settlers in America who made their home in Adams County and the Berne area — is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. The last tour of each day leaves at 3 p.m. Reservations are requested in advance. Tours last approximately an hour to an hour and a half. Also, Swiss Heritage Village is offering food trucks from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each Monday through September.
President’s list
Two Jay County residents were recently named to Trine University’s president’s list.
Earning the accolade were Isaac Braun of Portland and Jennifer DeBoy of Dunkirk. Braun is pursuing a degree in chemical engineering, and DeBoy is pursuing a degree in criminal justice. To earn the honor, students must complete at least 12 credit hours and have a GPA of at least 3.75.
Dean’s list
A Fort Recovery resident recently made the dean’s list at Cedarville University.
Olivia Smith earned a spot on the list for the spring semester. To receive the recognition, students must obtain a 3.5 GPA or higher and complete at least 12 credit hours.
