LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Celebrate new Farmer’s Building

To the editor: The Board of Directors of the Jay County Fair would like to invite everyone to the ribbon cutting and dedication of the "New Farmer's Building" on Sunday, July 7, at 1:30 p.m.

Everyone should support The CR

To the editor: If my Portland High School (class of 1966) education serves me correctly, $32 per quarter times four quarters equals $128 per year, divided by 312 publications equals 41 cents per copy.

Where would we be without the paper?

To the editor: After reading Jack Ronald’s “Back in the Saddle” June 19, I thought for a moment and tried to digest the whole thing.

Whatever happened to that guy?

To the editor: I enjoy reading Jack Ronald's occasional columns about his sometimes misspent youth.

JCCT offers thanks for 'Newsies'

To the editor: Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Our community is incredible.

Thank you for celebrating Vicki's life

To the editor: A very nice weather day Saturday, June 1, for the Celebration of Life for Vicki Lynn Tague.

Grass in road is dangerous

To the editor: With motorcycles being on the road more frequently, debris on the road is a real hazard.

Mayor needs to put city 1st

To the editor: On Tuesday night, a strong storm passed through Dunkirk, disrupting many residents and causing a lot of damage to many tents set up on Main Street for Glass Days.

Thank you for supporting show

To the editor: Jay County Wrestling Club would like to thank all 82 car/bike owners for coming to help support our inaugural car show.

Quick response team ready to help

To the editor: Jay County Quick Response Team is here.

Attendance records should be publicized

To the editor: I am writing to thank Mr. Jim Sanders, for his letter of Saturday, May 17, 2019, headlined “Council members have let us down,” for educating the city/community, of what is our reality.

Store experience was lacking in tact

To the editor: As a former supermarket manager of several stores who routinely made bank deposits of thousands of dollars and attended many seminars on how to spot shoplifters, I felt humiliated with a recent experience at the local Walmart.

Council members have let us down

To the editor: When a person is elected or appointed to a position, we expect them to respect the wishes of the citizens and attend all Portland City Council meetings.

Family committed to giving hope

To the editor: Early this year, my 1-and-a-half-year-old great-granddaughter Kamryn Price became the victim of a tragic child abuse incident that left her brain dead.

Wrestling club offers its thanks

To the Editor: On behalf of Jay County Wrestling Club, we want to thank all of our sponsors and everyone that attended our DCCW Invasion Wrestling Event this past weekend.
