Craig Maddox of Arbor Tech fells a dead ash tree Monday on the Kelly Baggs Nature Trail in Portland’s Weiler-Wilson Park. Arbor Tech has been subcontracted by Myron Terrain Management, New Albany, to help clear the trail in the wake of emerald ash borer devastation. Some 200 dead trees are slated to be removed along the trail. Work began Monday and is expected to continue for a month. (The Commercial Review/Jack Ronald)
