The Jay County High School Marching Patriots' snare drummers lean into their performance Saturday night during the Muncie Spirit of Sound contest at Southside Middle School. After opening with a runner-up finish at home Friday, the Marching Patriots scored 69.875 points to trail defending state champion Kokomo (74.25) and Muncie Central (73.875). Anderson (67.025) and Yorktown (61.025) rounded out the top five. (The Commercial Review/Ray Cooney)
