The return from spring break was a short one Monday for East Elementary School in Portland as students were dismissed early because of a water main break. The issue was the water main was located in the wooded area southwest of the elementary school and east of Portland Water Park. Parents were allowed to pick up students beginning at 10:30 a.m., though buses did run their routes at the regular dismissal time in the afternoon. (The Commercial Review/Bailey Cline)
