INDOT project on Meridian Street begins
Rainy weather has slowed the start of an Indiana Department of Transportation project on Meridian Street (U.S. 27) in Portland, but crews were able to make some progress Thursday morning. Pictured, a crew from Brooks Construction of Fort Wayne works on digging up part of the sidewalk as part of installing new Americans with Disabilities Act ramps at the intersection of Meridian and Rogers streets. The project also includes paving Meridian Street from county road 100 North to county road 200 South. (The Commercial Review/Ray Cooney)
