The Jay County High School basketball program held its annual golf outing Aug. 22 at Portland Golf Club and honored the 2025-06 squad that finished as the Class 3A state runner-up. Pictured, from left, are Scott Bruggeman, Clint Muhlenkamp, assistant coach Chris Krieg, Tyler Rigby, Luke Goetz, Zac Green, John Retter and Randy Evans. They defeated Elwood, Tipton in overtime and Mississinewa in the sectional, Tippecanoe Valley and Wawasee in the regional and Plymouth in the semi-state in overtime before losing to New Castle in the state championship game. Rigby will be in his first season coach JCHS this year and Goetz serves as an assistant coach. (Photo provided)
