A cold weather advisory that had been in effect since Sunday was lifted Wednesday morning as temperatures slowly creeped from below zero toward a projected high of 17. The frigid stretch led to Jay Schools being closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to climb into the 30s by the weekend. (The Commercial Review/Ray Cooney)
