Runner Eric Butcher of Portland hands a flag to Norma Whitacre alongside her husband Ernie at the mile marker in Bryant honoring Marine Lance Cpl. Andrew F. Whitacre during Friday’s opening day of the Indiana Run for the Fallen. The first day started in Fort Wayne and concluded at Freedom Park in Portland, departing Saturday for a 58-mile second leg ending in Anderson.
