Last season: After falling to Delta 34-15 in the season opener in?Muncie, Jay County won six of its final eight regular season games to finish 6-3 before blowing out Marion 50-16 in the sectional opener. The Patriots lost to Norwell in the sectional semifinal to finish 7-4, their best record since 2007.
Returning leaders: Passing — Nick Clemens - 20-of-58 for 395 yards and five touchdowns. Rushing — Kaleb Toland - 94 carries for 570 yards and seven touchdowns. Receiving — Levi Stant - one reception for 44 yards and one touchdown. Defense — Levi Hummel - 52 tackles, two tackles for loss.
Key losses: Rushing — J.D. Mangas - 202 carries for 1,865 yards and 13 touchdowns. Defense — Eric Hemmelgarn - 72 tackles, 28 tackles for loss.

Last season: Delta rattled off three straight wins including a 60-7 thumping of Greenfield-Central. The Eagles then lost back-to-back games, finishing the regular season 6-3. Delta fell in the sectional opener to West Lafayette 50-12.
Returning leaders: Passing — Cade Jones - 67-for-120 for 1,075 yards and 14 touchdowns. Rushing — Joe Spegal - 143 carries for 911 yards and 8 touchdowns. Receiving — Tate Stone - 11 receptions for 165 yards and three touchdowns.

2013 meeting: Jay County struck first, scoring the only points in the first quarter to take a seven-point lead after 12 minutes. But Delta tallied 34 straight points until the Patriots added a touchdown late in the game. Delta won 34-15.
