The Patriot boys soccer team was at the wrong end of a lopsided score Tuesday, dropping an 9-2 decision to the visiting New Castle Trojans.
New Castle scored just 31 seconds into the contest, and added four more goals in the first half before the Patriots broke the shutout.
Jared Schlosser scored both goals for Jay County, which is still searching for its first victory of the season.
Jason Schlosser, Jared’s younger brother, assisted on his first goal, and Luke Rowles was credited for an assist on the other.
