Ansonia defeats Indians

ANSONIA, Ohio — The Fort Recovery High School baseball team had plenty of offense Monday, but had trouble slowing down the Ansonia Tigers in a 19-11 defeat.
Jacob Muhlenkamp took the loss for the Tribe (2-15), giving up seven runs on nine hits and a walk in three innings. The Indians had a 7-0 lead before Ansonia tied the game with seven runs in the bottom of the second inning and pulled away with six in the sixth.
Collin O’Dell paced the FRHS offense, going 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI. Alex Thien added two hits, two RBIs and a run, and Gabe Riegel had a single, two walks, two stolen bases and two runs.

WAPAKONETA, Ohio — Fort Recovery committed 12 errors in a 26-0, five-inning loss to the Wapakoneta Redskins.
Ashley Homan took the defeat as she gave up eight hits and 10 walks.
