Before Tuesday, sisters Alex and Sophie Bader shared team record in the 50-meter breaststroke for 13-14-year-old girls.
Now, Alex has it all to herself.
The younger Bader took sole possession of the team and pool record Tuesday, finishing in 36.38 seconds, five hundredths of a second faster than the previous mark.
While the sisters shared the team record, Sophie had the Portland Pool record.
She also took first in the butterfly and individual medley, and was one of five swimmers to finish as triple event winners as the Jay County Summer Swim Team beat South Adams 765-399 at Portland Pool in its final dual meet of the season.
The Jay swimmers won all but three relays and 41 of the 60 individual events to finish with a perfect 8-0 record.
Jay County has not lost a dual meet since 2012.
Joining Alex Bader as triple event winners were Sophie Saxman, Joseph Dow, Mara Bader and Josh Lykins.
Winning two events each were Daniel Fennig, Elayna Paro, Konner Sommers, Eliza Bader, Lillian Clemmons, Tayler Smeltzer, Anne Vormohr, Sophie Bader and Sydney Mathias.
Kenzie Clayton, Abilene Hough, Erica Hathaway, Ashlyn Dow, Griffin Mann, Juan Pablo Wiggins, Luke Nichols and Sok Vormohr all picked up individual victories.
Jay County concludes its season at 9 a.m. Saturday as it hosts the Wabash Valley Conference Championships.[[In-content Ad]]
