The host Chiefs finished first Saturday at the East Jay Wrestling Invitational, taking the championship by a 50-point margin over Shenandoah with a score of 280.
Muncie Wilson was third at 205 with South Adams fourth at 196.
West Jay placed eighth in the 12-team field at 132.
Nick Leonhard and Eric Beougher led East Jay to its championship in the 125- and 135-pound weight classes respectively.
They each finished with 3-0 records to finish in first place, combining to score 58 team points.
Four Chiefs finished second, with Preston Overholser (120), Cody Bellis (145), Nathan Frisch (160) and Lucas Boyer (225) each going 2-1. Austin Bentz (115) and Kyle Garringer (152) also posted 2-1 records to finish in third place.
Nathan Drumm was the top grappler for West Jay as he went 2-1 and picked up the runner-up finish behind Leonhard at 125 pounds.
Chase Louck (105) and Carrolton Fischer (110) each went 2-1 to place third.[[In-content Ad]]
