Cavs down Tribe

FORT RECOVERY — The Coldwater Cavaliers handed the Fort Recovery High School volleyball team its sixth straight defeat Tuesday, 25-12, 22-25, 25-21, 25-13.
Holly Brunswick had 13 kills, 10 digs and three blocks for the Indians (4-10, 1-5 Midwest Athletic Conference), whose last win came Sept. 13 at Arcanum. Olivia Thien added 11 kills, 10 digs and seven points.
Kayla Kahlig had 17 assists against Coldwater (10-7, 4-2 MAC), Abby Backs totaled 15 digs and Kylie Kahlig finished with seven points.
In junior varsity action, Fort Recovery fell 25-20, 25-23 to the Cavaliers.
Amy Link paced the Indians (3-8) with 11 digs and five points. Kara Faller had 10 blocks and five kills, and Rashell Muhlenkamp added seven points.

Middle school
Fort Recovery’s eighth graders fell 25-20, 25-22 to the visiting Marion Local Flyers, and the seventh grade squad lost 25-22, 25-12.
Haley Knapke had six points and three digs for the eighth grade Indians (5-6), and Cassidy Rammel added eight points and four aces. Tori Lennartz totaled four kills and three blocks.
Kirsten Jutte finished with four points and a kill to lead the seventh graders (3-8). Morgan Lennartz had three points and one dig.[[In-content Ad]]
