Seventh gridders roll

Price scored on a 20-yard run midway through the second quarter, then added a three-yard scoring run with 2:38 left in the opening half. East Jay (1-0) built on its 16-0 halftime lead with touchdowns from Brock McFarland and Kegan Comer before New Castle got on the board with just 1:07 left in the game.

The Trojans also scored late in the eighth grade game - the lone touchdown came with 4:48 remaining - and held off an East Jay charge. A 40-yard pass from Andre Duke to Cameron Bentz followed by a 20-yard Duke run had the Chiefs inside the 10-yard line, but New Castle picked off a pass in the final minute to seal the game.[[In-content Ad]]
