MUNCIE - Perfection continued for the East Jay Middle School seventh grade football team Wednesday as it defeated Muncie Wilson 24-12.
Ryan Claytor had another big night for the Chiefs (4-0) with 89 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. He also ran for a pair of two-point conversions.
Zack Metcalf and Eric Hemmelgarn each added a rushing touchdown. Claytor finished with 6.5 tackles, and Brent Lewis had five tackles and a sack.
WJMS 7th rolls
DUNKIRK - The West Jay Middle School seventh grade volleyball team dominated the second game Wednesday for a 25-19, 25-9 victory over the Monroe Central Golden Bears. The Eagle eighth graders lost 25-15, 25-19.
Chelsea Tighe scored 13 points to lead the WJMS seventh graders, and Ashley Motter added 12 points. Kimber Edwards finished with nine points.
Laura Morrison totaled five points for the West Jay eighth grade team. Shelby Shirk had four points.[[In-content Ad]]
