WINCHESTER - Both Golden Falcon teams entered Thursday's action undefeated. The Chiefs sent one home with a defeat.
East Jay Middle School's seventh grade volleyball team handed Winchester its first defeat, building a 26-0 lead on the way to a 34-14 win. Winchester's eighth graders remained unbeaten with a 2-0 win over the Chiefs.
Andre Duke paced the East Jay seventh graders, tossing a 35-yard touchdown pass to Colton Chapman and adding a 30-yard TD run as they ran out to the 26-point lead. Chandler Stout had a 22-yard TD run in the first quarter, and Spencer Hodge returned a fumble 25 yards for a TD.
Julian Myers added a 55-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter.
D.J. Teeple, John Norris and Neal Fennig each forced turnovers for the eighth grade team.[[In-content Ad]]
