Neal Fennig and Zane Shreve dominated their division and Cori Vormohr set two records in leading the Jay County Summer Swim Team to victory Thursday.
Fennig and Shreve each picked up three victories in the 11-12-year-old boys division in the hard-fought 572-512 win over Catalina Swim Club (Muncie).
Alex Bader and Cori Stone also picked up three wins apiece. Bader took the top spot in the 8-and-younger girls butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke, and Stone won the 9-10-year-old girls butterfly individual medley and short freestyle.
Vormohr was one of four Jay County swimmers to finish with a pair of wins, including her record-breaking effort in the individual medley. She set new school and pool records by nearly four seconds in the 15-and-older girls event with her time of 2-minutes, 37.51 seconds.
Her other win came in the breaststroke, and she also broke the team record in the butterfly by more than two seconds in 1:09.16.
Alex Bullard won the 8-and-younger backstroke and short freestyle, Katy Smeltzer took the 9-10-year-old girls long freestyle and backstroke and Richard Osterholt was first in the 13-14-year-old boys breaststroke and short freestyle.
Adding single wins for Jay County, now 2-0, were Adam Abbott, Radney Pearson, Laura Bowen, Marissa Murrell, Michaela Long, Wiley Young and Sam Miller.[[In-content Ad]]
