Fort 7th finishes undefeated

FORT RECOVERY — The Indians were perfect.
Fort Recovery Middle School’s seventh grade football team completed an undefeated season Thursday with a 22-6 victory over the Minster Wildcats. The seventh graders also won, 34-6.
Each of the touchdowns for the FRMS seventh graders (8-0) came on runs of 40 yards or longer, including a 50-yard scamper by Andrew Stocker to put the game away in the fourth quarter. Cade Wendel scored on a 48-yard run in the first quarter, and Will Homan had a 40-yard TD run in the third.
Cole Dues ran for TDs of 41 and 23 yards and had a 55-yard punt return for a score to lead the Indian eighth grade team (5-3). Caleb Martin connected with Jason Roessner on TD passes of 36 and 52 yards.

7th wins in tourney
COLDWATER, Ohio — The Fort Recovery seventh grade volleyball team kept its season alive Thursday as it defeated the Minster Wildcats 25-9, 25-9 in the opening round of the Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament.

The Tribe advances to play St. Henry at 11 a.m. Saturday at Coldwater.
Alexis Bubp racked up 17 service points and 11 digs to lead the Indians, who are now 11-7. Sydney Dues had 11 kills, and Kelsey Jutte put up six assists.
Gracie Thien scored seven service points, Carley Stone notched four kills and Haley DuHammel added two digs.

Wenning leads 8th
NEW BREMEN, Ohio — Abby Wenning paced Fort Recovery’s eighth grade volleyball team as it opened the Midwest Athletic Tournament on Thursday with a 25-16, 20-25, 25-16 victory over Versailles.
Wenning totaled eight service points, three assists and two kills in the victory for the Tribe (5-14). Devin Post had 11 kills and three assists, and Emily Hart added three digs, two kills and one block.
Logan Ranly scored 10 service points, and Audra Metzger had three assists.[[In-content Ad]]
