Fort Recovery to meet Flyers (02/09/04)

The Fort Recovery boys basketball team will bet a second chance against at least one, and maybe another Midwest Athletic Conference foe.

The Indians (4-11) will take on the Marion Local Flyers (7-6) in the first round of the Coldwater sectional.

Fort Recovery play in the second game at Coldwater Tuesday, March 2 at 7:45 p.m.

Waynesfield (2-12) and New Knoxville (8-8) will do battle in the first game at 6:15 p.m. The winner of that contest will play top-seeded Minster (9-5) in one sectional title game Friday, March 5 at 6:15 p.m.

The winner game between the Indians and the Flyers will play No. 2 seed New Bremen (11-5) for a sectional title at 7:45 p.m.

Both games would be chances at revenge for the Indians, who lost to Marion Local 41-40 and New Bremen 50-47 this season.

Fort loses close

The Fort Recovery freshman girls basketball team lost 22-21 to Spencerville Saturday.

Lauren Wenning led the Indians (6-3) with 10 points. Sandra Sudhoff was next with five points.[[In-content Ad]]
