Frasher leads in sweep

Dawson Frasher had four hits and drove in four RBIs Friday as Boolman’s Auto Sales swept Local 1620 in Portland Junior League’s Sandy Koufax division.
Boolman’s scored 12 runs in both games, winning 12-2 in the first and 12-7 in the nightcap.
Nate Dalrymple also had four hits for Boolman’s and had a team-high four runs on the night. Jordan Schricker tallied six RBIs on two hits.
Nicholas Nickson, Gaven Hare and Jake Boolman all had two hits apiece. Jace Pogue, Dalrymple and Boolman each drove in a pair of runs.
Jaguars win title
The Jay County Jaguars 8-and-younger soccer team took first place Saturday in the North American Kick It 3-on-3 tournament in Dayton, Ohio.
The Jaguars finished with a perfect 5-0 record en route to the title, and had goals from all five players on the team.
Levi Muhlenkamp led the Jaguars with seven goals for the tournament. Blake and Brayden Collins both had three goals each. Maddox Huffman and Cody McFarland tallied one goal apiece.
With the win, Jay County qualifies for the Midwest Super Regional on Aug. 2 and 3 in Alton, Ill. and the Disney 3-on-3 Soccer Championship at the ESPN World Wide of Sports in January in Kissimmee, Fla.
