Local Roundup

KETTERING, Ohio — The only time the Indians led in the second half was when it counted.
Fort Recovery High School’s boys basketball team trailed by 10 points with less than six minutes to play Saturday at the Greater Western Ohio Conference Holiday Hoops Invitational at Fairmount’s Trent Arena. The Indians (7-1) finished the game on a 16-5 run with half of those points coming from junior Elijah Kahlig, who finished with a game-high 25. Ben Dilworth, Kyle Schorer and Wes Wenning also scored down the stretch for FRHS, which pulled to within one with 2:37 to play.
Miamisburg (6-3) pushed its lead back to 52-49, but Kahlig scored to close the gap to one again before Gelhaus hit the game-winner for his only hoop of the fourth quarter.
