Indians get 13th victory

FRHS roundup

BRADFORD, Ohio — It’s been more than a decade since the Indians have seen this kind of regular-season success.
Fort Recovery High School’s baseball team shut out the host Bradford Railroaders 9-0 Monday to pick up its 13th win of the year. The Tribe had not won more than 12 games in a season since going 18-8 in 2001.
Freshman Jackson Hobbs scattered seven hits as he went the distance to earn his third win. He struck out four batters and did not allow a walk.

MINSTER, Ohio — Fort Recovery didn’t get the sectional preview it was hoping for Monday as it fell 7-0 to the Minster Wildcats.

Chelsea Timmerman suffered the loss against the Wildcats on Monday, giving up eight hits and two walks in six innings. The Tribe committed three errors.
Fort Recovery (1-15, 0-4 Midwest Athletic Conference) managed just three hits — one each from Janelle Schwieterman, Tori Vaughn and Timmerman. The Indians finished with nine strikeouts.
