Ingle/Osterholt dominates at Jubilee (06/18/07)

FORT RECOVERY - The Ingle Realty/Osterholt Motorsports team came ready to race.
Ingle/Osterholt won every stage of the first leg of the American Red Cross/FCC Go-Kart Grand Prix Friday at the Fort Recovery Harvest Jubilee to take a commanding lead.
In the feature race only three teams finished on the lead lap as Ingle/Osterholt cruised to a victory by more than 16 seconds. Tyson Mexican Original was second, and Wendel Poultry placed third.
Ingle/Osterholt was the top qualifying team as it ran the fastest lap by more than one second, and it also took the top spot in the first heat race. Tyson and Haulette Manufacturing were the other heat winners, and Moser Engineering took the semi-feature.
Byrge climbs to second
NORTH VERNON - Another solid effort from Kenny Byrge pushed him up one spot in the standings.
Byrge, a former Dunkirk resident, climbed to second in the United Midget Racing Association standings Saturday as he finished third at Twin Cities Raceway.
The defending UMRA champion finished behind series leader Terry Goff and runner-up Scott Petry. He was also second to Goff in his heat race.
The effort pushed Byrge two points ahead of Oogie Goff and into second place for the season with 797.
Terry Goff continues to lead with 826.
Larry Teegarden, Byrge's grandfather and car owner, is now atop the owner's points.
Lee leads Tigers
DUNKIRK - Zaaron Lee carried his team to victory Saturday in the West Jay Community Center Summer Soccer League.
Lee scored all five goals for the Tigers to out-duel Ian Miller, who did all the scoring for the Jaguars, in a 5-2 victory. In other games it was Thunder 8, Lightning 3; Thunder 11, Twisters 2; and Cheetahs 4, Lions 3.
Ian McCombs was the high scorer for the day, totaling eight goals to lead the Thunder after the team fell behind 2-0 to the Twisters after one quarter. Marco Valdez led the other Thunder win with three goals. Connor Davis and Sabreena Ferguson each scored twice for the Cheetahs.
Runner-up is from Redkey
MUNCIE - Ricky Kirkpatrick turned in a second-place finish Saturday at the Muncie Dragway.
Kirkpatrick, Redkey, was the runner-up in the Pro division driving a 1980 Malibu Wagon.
He finished behind Ryan Kirkpatrick of Muncie.[[In-content Ad]]
