Jay Co. falls to the Squaws

Jay County roundup

DECATUR - Jay County High School's girls soccer team didn't get on the scoreboard for the third straight game Thursday, losing 4-0 to the host Bellmont Squaws.

The Patriots, who fell 1-0 to South Adams and 4-0 to Oak Hill in their previous two games, trailed just 1-0 at the half. Bellmont got its second score as a shot ticked off goalie Mollie May's fingers just over six minutes into the second half, and it added its other two goals at 10-minute intervals.

May and LeAnn Horn each finished with three saves. Loryn Horn had the lone shot on goal for JCHS.

All of the losses this year for JCHS (2-5) have come by shutout.
