JCHS softball
PARKER CITY - Jay County High School's softball team has scored just once in its last four defeats. But its victories have been big ones.
The Patriots continued that pattern Tuesday evening, slaughtering the host Monroe Central Golden Bears 14-3 in five innings.
Each of the last six JCHS wins have come by double digits as it has outscored those opponents 95-20.
Jess Piercey continued to swing a hot bat from the No. 9 spot in the order. She finished a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs.
Trisha Champ was also 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI, and Amber Edmundson, Kayla Phillips, Lauren Edmundson and Tiffany Davis each scored twice. Brittany Mann drove in a pair of runs.
Davis picked up the victory as all three runs against her were unearned. She allowed two hits and four walks while striking out one batter.[[In-content Ad]]
