It’s that time again. The school year, and the athletic season which goes with it, is just a few weeks away and ticket sales are about to begin.
Tickets for the 2004-05 Jay County sports season will go on sale Friday, Aug. 13.
Tickets will be sold in the JCHS athletics office Friday, Aug. 13 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 6 p.m. They will also be sold Monday, Aug. 16 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
They will be available during regular office hours beginning Tuesday, Aug. 17.
The cost of Super and Season tickets are as follows: Adult Super - $60, Senior Super - $35, Student Super - $30, Adult football season - $15, Adult boys basketball season - $35, Adult girls basketball season - $35, Family ticket - $160.

Pee wee football
Registration for the 2004 Jay County Pee Wee Football season will be held on two Saturdays in August.
There will be sessions from 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 14 and Aug. 21 at Hines-Inman Memorial Stadium in Portland Memorial Park.
Jay County students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades are eligible to play.
The entry fee is $25.

Practice for the Jay County High School fall sports season will begin Monday, Aug. 2.
The boys tennis team will kick off its season as it opens practice at 7 a.m., and the boys and girls cross country teams will begin at 7:30 a.m. The football and girl soccer teams will start practice at 8 a.m.
The girls golf team will hit the links at Portland Country Club at 10 a.m., and the volleyball team will practice at East Jay Middle School at 10 a.m. The boys soccer team will open at 5 p.m.
All athletes must have a sports physical on file in the JCHS athletics office before they may begin practicing. For more information, call (260) 726-9306.

The volleyball team and boys tennis team will both begin practice at 5 p.m.
The football and girls golf teams will meet earlier, starting Friday.
The football team will issue equipment Friday with seniors at 9 a.m., juniors at 9:30 a.m., sophomore at 10 a.m. and freshmen at 10:30 a.m. Practice will be held at 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. beginning Monday.
The girls golf team will begin its regular practice sessions Friday at 3 p.m.
South Adams Junior High football practice will begin Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 3:30 p.m. Junior High volleyball practice will start Wednesday, Aug. 18 at 3:30 p.m.
