Sam Miller had another record-breaking night. This time, it wasn't enough to secure a victory.
Miller, who set records in two events in Monday's win over Fort Recovery, set marks in two more Tuesday, but the Jay County Summer Swim team fell 576-563 to visiting South Adams.
Jay County won 35 out of the 60 individual events, but dropped 11 of the 18 relays.
Miller's records Tuesday broke the standards he set last season. He won the 15-and-older 200-meter individual medley in 2-minutes, 13.88 seconds to destroy his previous team and pool record of 2:19.24. His time of 25.03 in the 50 freestyle also broke his own team and pool record of 25.47.
Girls led the way for Jay County in triple victories, with Alex Bader, Sophie Bader, Caitlin Mark and Cori Vormohr each accomplishing the feat.
Alex Bader took the 9-10-year-old girls long freestyle, butterfly and individual medley, and her sister Sophie finished first in the 11-12-year-old girls butterfly, individual medley and short freestyle.
Cori Vormohr, the Baders' cousin, picked up victories in the 15-and-older girls butterfly, individual medley and short freestyle. Mark won the butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke in the 13-14-year-old girls division.
Miller, Eliza Bader, Noah Hummel, Ian James, Anne Vormohr, Adam Abbott, Mary Hudson and Neal Fennig each contributed a pair of victories. Single-event winners were Elijah Corwin, Tayler Smeltzer, Sydney Mathias, Sok Vormohr, Eme Miller, Wiley Young and Aaron Hudson.[[In-content Ad]]
